Kuromitsu is a traditional Japanese black sugar syrup, similar to maple syrup, commonly used in Japanese sweets such as anmitsu, kuzumochi, and dango. It also pairs well with other desserts like pancakes, fruits, and ice cream.

 

This sweet, dark syrup is made from unrefined Okinawan black sugar (kurozato) and rich honey. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also packed with minerals and beneficial bifidobacteria.

Kurozato is an unrefined black sugar that retains essential minerals like potassium and iron, which are usually removed from refined white sugar.

Bifidobacteria are probiotics naturally found in the gut and stomach, helping support key bodily functions such as digestion and defending against harmful bacteria.
