Before First Use

This porous clay pot must be seasoned before its first use. Add approximately 2 cups of water and 1 cup of cooked rice, simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes until thick, then allow it to cool completely. Remove the mixture and wipe the pot clean.

Care

• Make sure the exterior is completely dry before heating.
• Never heat the pot while empty.
• Allow it to cool completely before rinsing with cold water.
• Use only a small amount of detergent if needed, and do not soak for extended periods.
• The pot and lid become very hot during use; always use oven mitts or pot holders.
